PolyZen Devices Polymer Protected Zener Diode

Product Overview
PolyZen devices are advanced polymer-enhanced Zener diodes designed to provide resettable protection against multi-Watt fault events without the need for external heat sinks. They offer stable voltage clamping with a relatively flat voltage vs. current response, ensuring reliable output voltage regulation even under high input voltage and large diode currents. The integrated, resistively non-linear PPTC (polymer positive temperature coefficient) layer responds to extended diode heating or overcurrent events by transitioning to a high resistance state, effectively limiting current and protecting both the Zener diode and downstream electronics. These devices are ideal for protecting sensitive portable electronics and other low-power DC devices from inductive voltage spikes, voltage transients, incorrect power supplies, and reverse bias.
