Product Overview

The AG-BK Thyristor Surge Suppressors (TSS) are solid-state protection devices designed for telecommunications equipment, including modems, line cards, fax machines, and other Customer Premises Equipment (CPE). These devices enable equipment to meet stringent regulatory requirements such as GR 1089, ITU K.20, K.21, and K.45, IEC 60950, UL 60950, and TIA-968. AG-BK devices offer absolute surge protection, unaffected by surge current or rate of applied voltage (dv/dt). They are non-degenerative, do not fatigue, and eliminate hysteresis, heat dissipation, and voltage overshoot associated with clamping devices. Their low capacitance makes them ideal for high-speed transmission equipment. The AG-BK series meets MSL level 1 per J-STD-020.
