Product Overview

The ULN2003V12 and ULN2003F12 are multi-channel sink drivers offering 7-channel and 4-channel output stages, respectively. They serve as low power upgrade versions of the popular ULN2003A family, significantly reducing power dissipation when driving loads like 12V relay coils. The ULN2003F12, with its 4-channel integration, is ideal for applications such as low voltage stepping motors. Both devices feature a 3.3V to 5V CMOS logic input interface for broad microcontroller compatibility and an improved input interface that minimizes DC current draw. Integrated input RC snubbers enhance performance in noisy environments, and internal pull-down resistors enable input tri-stating. Each output includes an internal free-wheeling diode for inductive load protection, and adjacent channels can be paralleled to increase current sink capability, with the ULN2003V12 supporting up to 1.0A per channel when all 7 are combined.
