Product Overview

The IXYS DSEI 2x 61-04/06C is a Fast Recovery Epitaxial Diode (FRED) module featuring 2 independent FREDs in a single miniBLOC package. Designed for high reliability and efficiency, these diodes offer very short recovery times, extremely low switching losses, and soft recovery behavior. Their international standard package is ISOTOP compatible, providing an isolation voltage of 2500 V~. Key applications include antiparallel diodes for high-frequency switching devices, anti-saturation diodes, snubber diodes, free-wheeling diodes in converters, rectifiers in switch-mode power supplies, and use in inductive heating, uninterruptible power supplies, ultrasonic cleaners, and welders. Advantages include high reliability, low voltage peaks, reduced protection circuit requirements, low noise switching, and lower operating temperatures or space savings due to reduced cooling.
