High Reliability Fast Recovery Diode Littelfuse IXYS DSEI30-12A for Motor Control and Power Supplies
Product Overview
The DSEI 30-12A is a Fast Recovery Epitaxial Diode (FRED) designed for high-frequency switching applications. It features a planar passivated chip, very short recovery time, extremely low switching losses, and low IRM values with soft recovery behavior. This diode is ideal for use as an antiparallel diode for high-frequency switching devices, anti-saturation diode, snubber diode, and free-wheeling diode in converters and motor control circuits. Its applications also extend to rectifiers in switch mode power supplies (SMPS), inductive heating and melting, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and ultrasonic cleaners and welders. The advantages include high reliability circuit operation, low voltage peaks for reduced protection circuits, low noise switching, and low losses, enabling operation at lower temperatures or space-saving by reduced cooling.
