Product Description
The Sxx15x and Sxx16x Series are Teccor brand Standard SCR Thyristors designed for excellent unidirectional switching in phase control applications. They are ideal for heating and motor speed controls. These SCRs are triggered with minimal current (few milliamperes) at low voltage (less than 1.5V). Key advantages include glass-passivated junctions, voltage capability up to 1000V, and surge capability up to 225A. Typical applications include capacitive discharge systems for strobe lights, nailers, staplers, gas engine ignition, and controls for power tools, home/brown goods, and white goods appliances. Internally constructed isolated packages are available for simplified heat sinking and enhanced isolation voltage.
