It is ideally suited for low voltage, high frequency rectification, or as free-wheeling and polarity protection diodes in space-critical surface mount applications. Its compact size makes it ideal for portable and battery-powered devices, including cellular phones, chargers, notebook computers, and PDAs. Typical applications include AC-DC and DC-DC converters, reverse battery protection, and voltage "Oring".
