Product Overview

The MC1413 is a high-voltage, high-current Darlington array consisting of seven silicon NPN Darlington pairs. All units share a common emitter, and each unit features an open-collector output. Integrated ballast diodes and base-emitter resistors are included for improved output efficiency and reduced leakage. Each Darlington pair has a 2.7K base resistor, making it compatible with TTL and CMOS circuits at a 5V operating voltage, allowing direct processing of data that previously required standard logic buffers. With high operating voltage, large operating current (up to 500mA sink current), and the ability to withstand 50V in the off-state, the output can also operate in parallel under high load currents, providing a robust solution for multi-interface drive circuits. Applications include driving solenoids, relays, incandescent lamps, small motors, and LEDs.
