ULN2003A: High Voltage, High Current Darlington Transistor Array

The ULN2003A is a monolithic high-voltage, high-current Darlington transistor array. It consists of seven independent Darlington driver circuits, each with a built-in suppression diode for inductive loads like relays and stepper motors. Each Darlington pair can output up to 500mA, with parallel connection enabling higher current capability. The integrated 2.7K base resistor allows direct connection to TTL/CMOS logic circuits operating at 5V, eliminating the need for standard logic buffers. This array is widely used for driving relays, indicator lights, display screens (LEDs), stepper motors, and as logic buffers.
