Product Description

The Multipulse SIDAC is a voltage switch designed for Metal-Halide and High Pressure Sodium lamp ignition circuits in outdoor street and area lighting. It is a robust solid-state switch capable of operating at ambient temperatures up to 90C, with junction temperatures reaching 125C, particularly during lamp element removal or rupture. Its excellent commutation time (tCOMM) enables the production of multiple pulses per half cycle of 50/60 Hz line voltage. Offered in a DO-15 axial leaded package, the Kxxx1GL SIDAC features repetitive off-state blocking voltages from 180V to 270V minimum, ensured by glass-passivated junctions for high reliability. The package is epoxy encapsulated with tin-plated copper alloy leads.
