IDCHIP ULN2803 High Current Darlington Transistor Array Designed for Stepper Motor and Relay Driving
Product Overview
The ULN2803 is a high-current Darlington transistor array designed for low-voltage systems. It comprises eight Darlington pairs, each with a free-wheeling diode, suitable for driving inductive loads such as relays and stepper motors. Each Darlington pair supports an output current of 200mA at an input voltage as low as 1.8V. Connecting Darlington pairs in parallel increases the output current capability. Each Darlington pair in the ULN2803 includes a base resistor, allowing direct connection to TTL/CMOS circuits with operating voltages below 5V, eliminating the need for standard logic buffers. Additionally, each input pin has an internal 4.7K ohm pull-down resistor to ground, preventing unstable states of the Darlington transistors during MCU power-up.
