The ULN2803 is a monolithic integrated high-voltage, high-current Darlington array featuring eight independent Darlington driver channels. Each channel includes a clamp diode for inductive loads like relays and stepper motors. By paralleling Darlingtons, higher output current capabilities can be achieved. This device is widely used for relay driving, lighting control, LED displays, stepper motor driving, and logic buffering. Each Darlington channel has a 2.7K base resistor, allowing direct connection to TTL/CMOS circuits at a 5V operating voltage.
